In this talk, Radostin will introduce us to TensorFlow Decision Forests, a powerful library that can train, run, and interpret decision forest models such as Random Forests and Gradient Boosted Trees.
We will begin with the basics of TF-DF for beginners and then move on to more advanced approaches for training these models using the hidden states of a neural network. You will learn how to use ensembling techniques to combine different models to achieve even better results.
In addition, we will explore how to handle textual features in a tabular dataset with the help of pre-trained embeddings. This will be especially useful for solving classification and regression problems in the real world.

In 2018 Radi authored a project recognized by Google, and since then, he has won many other honors in mathematics and IT, including awards at Regeneron ISEF’22 and EUCYS’22. Radostin is a part of the 2021 “30 under 30” selection of Forbes Bulgaria for founding the NLP platform АзБуки.ML, which aims to bring wider Bulgarian language support for many linguistic ML models. Since 2022 he has been an active Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning, and his most recent research papers about Transformer-based dialogue systems have been published in the ACL Anthology.
