Problem Statements

Solving for Bharath: Digital Public Infrastructure & Citizen Services

  • Post & Postal Services : Improve discovery, preparation, routing, tracking, accessibility, or support around postal services.

  • Indian Railways & Passenger Services : Streamline passenger planning, station navigation, ticketing guidance, disruption updates, and accessibility using service information.

  • Passport, Visa & Consular Services : Guide document readiness, application prep, appointment readiness, and status interpretation using approved rules and info.

  • Transport, RTO & Driving Services : Help citizens understand driving/vehicle workflows, prepare documents, and interpret rules without making legal or eligibility calls.

  • Municipal & Civic Services : Ease citizen issue reporting, service discovery, civic communication, and document/workflow assistance for local services.

  • Public Healthcare Services : Support non-diagnostic healthcare navigation, appointment prep, records organization, and public-health information with clear escalation.

  • Agriculture & Farmer Services : Help farmers navigate schemes, market info, crop workflows, documentation, advisories, and grievances.

  • Education & Student Services : Assist with education administration, scholarships, certificates, admissions guidance, accessibility, and student support.

  • Courts, Legal Aid & Justice Services : Provide non-lawyer support for public legal information, document organization, case navigation, and legal-aid intake distinct from legal advice.

  • Social Welfare & Citizen Benefits : Make public-benefit discovery, document prep, application support, grievance handling, and citizen communication easier.

Rules

Team formation

  • Pre-formed teams register as 2–4 members.

  • Solo registrants are placed into teams that need balancing (organizer matching).

  • Final teams should be 2–4 members; organizers may rebalance before the build.

Core build constraint

The solution must be an Gen AI / AI-agent experience. A plain CRUD app, static dashboard, search page, or rule-based workflow alone is not sufficient. The primary value must come from an agent / Gen AI solution reasoning over inputs, using tools/data, taking permitted actions, coordinating with other agents, or producing a useful outcome.

Data & safety boundary

  • Use synthetic data, publicly available datasets, or mock APIs.

  • Do not require privileged access to government systems, expose personal data, or automate irreversible decisions about a real citizen.

  • When a task would normally need an authorized officer, the agent should prepare a recommendation, draft, or handoff and not impersonate the authority.

Submission & demo checklist

  • Problem statement selected and clearly scoped usecase

  • Goal and user persona

  • Architecture (or) flow of the proposed solution

  • At least one meaningful agent/tool interaction (or) a live working demo
