Build with AI is a series of GDG-led workshops where participants will explore practical applications of AI. In this workshop participants will learn to use Google Antigravity, an agentic development platform, to design and deploy a serverless document pipeline with Cloud Run, Gemini, BigQuery and create a Gemini-powered Flutter app, gaining hands-on AI experience and practical skills.

Build with AI is a series of community-led technical workshops and hackathons hosted by Google Developer Groups (GDG), designed to help developers explore practical ways to integrate artificial intelligence into real-world applications. These hands-on sessions let participants plan, build, and iterate alongside AI agents, experiment with cutting-edge tools and frameworks from the Google ecosystem, and apply skills to generative AI trends and Google products.
In Getting Started with Google Antigravity, participants will learn the fundamentals of AI-assisted architecture planning, code generation, and serverless application patterns using Antigravity. They will then work through the “Build and Deploy on Google Cloud with Antigravity” codelab, designing and deploying a serverless, event-driven document pipeline that ingests files from Cloud Storage, processes them using Cloud Run and Gemini, and streams metadata into BigQuery, while exploring AI-assisted architecture planning, code generation, and end-to-end pipeline verification. Participants will also get to build a Gemini-powered Flutter app, experimenting with generative AI to enhance mobile applications.
Whether a beginner eager to explore AI or an experienced professional looking to expand their skill set, participants will leave with hands-on AI-powered projects, practical skills, and experience they can immediately apply.
Prerequisites:
To ensure you can fully participate, please complete the following before attending:
A laptop with administrator access
Git installed
Flutter SDK installed (for the Flutter session)
A Google account
Download and install Google Antigravity: Install Antigravity
Install the gcloud CLI (Google Cloud SDK) and authenticate your account: Install Google Cloud CLI
Having Antigravity and the gcloud CLI will ensure we can start hands-on exercises immediately and deploy projects without delays.
Having Antigravity installed beforehand will allow us to begin hands-on exercises immediately.
Overview:
Participants will be introduced to Google Antigravity, an agent-first platform enabling developers to work with autonomous AI agents to plan, build, and iterate on software projects.
Attendees will learn to:
Install and configure Antigravity.
Explore the Agent Manager interface.
Run their first AI-assisted development tasks.
This session lays the foundation for understanding how AI agents can support developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Overview:
In this codelab, participants will use Google Antigravity to design and build a serverless, event-driven document pipeline on Google Cloud. The pipeline will:
Ingest files from Cloud Storage
Process them using Cloud Run and Gemini
Stream metadata into BigQuery
By the end of the session, participants will learn how to plan architecture, generate code with AI agents, and verify the pipeline using Antigravity’s walkthroughs.
Overview:
Participants will build a creative Flutter application powered by Google Gemini, learning to:
Integrate Gemini into a Flutter app.
Generate colors and creative outputs from prompts.
Explore how generative AI enhances mobile app experiences.
This session demonstrates how developers can incorporate generative AI into modern mobile applications for practical and creative use.
Please install all required software before the workshop to ensure you can participate fully.
Bring a laptop with the prerequisites installed and ready to use.
The workshop is hands-on, so active participation is encouraged.
Sessions may involve collaborative exercises, so be ready to engage with peers and instructors.
