As AI moves from experimentation to production, building autonomous agents requires more than a working prototype. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore how to build and deploy production-ready AI agents using Go, Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK), and Google Cloud.

While Python’s flexibility has made it a popular choice for AI research, prototyping, and model training, deploying autonomous agents at scale introduces demanding system engineering requirements. Successful agent systems may need to handle thousands of concurrent requests while maintaining strict typing, low latency, and high reliability—areas where Go is particularly well suited.

During the workshop, participants will move beyond simple local prototypes and build an autonomous agent in Go using Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK). We’ll cover project scaffolding, local interactive debugging through the ADK Web UI, equipping agents with tools, and defining the infrastructure required for secure and repeatable deployments to Google Cloud Run.

Participants will also receive access to a Google Cloud environment through the Alis Build platform, allowing everyone to participate in the practical workshop and get hands-on experience deploying their agent to Google Cloud. More details about this will be shared closer to the event.

The workshop will be led by Nicholas Breckwoldt, Lead AI Engineer at Alis Exchange, a cloud and AI engineering specialist with several years of experience building and deploying cloud-native Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions on Google Cloud. Nicholas brings practical production experience to the session, offering participants the opportunity to learn not only how to build AI agents, but how to approach the engineering challenges involved in taking them from prototype to reliable, scalable deployment.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a practical blueprint for building and deploying your own autonomous agents on Google Cloud.
