Cloud Native Bergen and GDG Bergen would like to invite you to an evening where we dive into Kubernetes networking with Cilium and how Nav moved into the cloud. The event is hosted by Sparebanken Vest and sponsored by Isovalent.

Main topic for the evening will be Cilium. Cilium is the Cloud Native networking, observability and security layer project and is seeing wide adoption by all the major cloud providers. Cilium has recently applied for CNCF graduation like Kubernetes, Prometheus.

Technology enthusiast. Lead Organizer for GDG Bergen and working as System Architect at NextGenTel.

Raymond de Jong

Raymond de Jong is the Field CTO at Isovalent, the originators of the Cilium project, providing networking, observability, and security for cloud-native applications using eBPF. In this role, he is supporting and enabling customers to be successful with Cilium in their mission-critical environments. Leveraging almost a decade of experience in Software Defined Networking he is passionate about learning customer use-cases and designing solutions to meet their requirements. When not working, Raymond enjoys playing tennis, riding bikes, gaming, and music playing the guitar or piano.

Hans Kristian Flaatten

Hans Kristian Flaatten is working as Platform Engineering at the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) responsible for the NAIS platform. NAIS is an application platform built to increase development speed by providing our developers at NAV with the best possible tools to develop and run their applications.
