Healthcare is increasingly embracing AI to improve workflow management, patient communication, and diagnostic and treatment support. It’s critical that these AI-based systems are not only high-performing, but also efficient and privacy-preserving. It’s with these considerations in mind that we built and recently released Health AI Developer Foundations, a collection of open-weight models and companion resources to help developers and researchers advance AI development in healthcare. This talk will provide an introduction to this suite of models, including MedGemma, Google's most capable open model for medical text and image comprehension. We'll also walk through practical use cases and real-world demos to showcase its clinical utility and multimodal capabilities.
