About this event

This workshop is a beginner-friendly introduction to building AI "agents" for science and research using the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK).

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  1. Understand how an AI-agent differs from a standard large language model.

  2. Leverage AI-agents for scientific research.

  3. Use the Google ADK and alternate methods for constructing agentic pipelines.

  4. Build and orchestrate a team of agents to do useful work for you!

Requirements: 

  1. A Google account to use Colab for Python https://colab.research.google.com/

  2. An API key from https://aistudio.google.com/apikey to use web based models.

  3. Basic familiarity with Python is recommended - but we will walk through the details.
